Working on this piano prelude by Shostakovich we learned something about the expanded tonal style and the functional harmony. The changes between 1700-1900 of the using of harmony, how in that Prelude the consonant and dissonances are not necessary related.

We can see a lot of Add2 or Add4 chords analyzing that Prelude.
